Extractability, the fume- and dust-extraction division of Weldability Sif, has celebrated its first milestone, having recently completed it’s 30th welding fume-extraction installation in 12 months.
This system, installed at the new Riseholme College campus in Lincoln, is comprised of acoustic-panelled welding bays, high-vacuum ProtectoVac filtered fume-extractors and a series of welders’ tables, to complete the college’s 10-bay multi-process welding workshop.
From its launch in 2013, Extractability has grown rapidly to become a major UK stockholding supplier of fixed and mobile fume extraction systems, as well as offering powered air-purifying respirators and fume-extracting MIG torch systems to industry. The wide portfolio of products it offers can be seen on its website, www.extractability.eu, where the full ranges of telescopic extraction arms, vent-to-atmosphere fans, low-vacuum fixed filter re-circulator's and high-vacuum mobile extraction systems is displayed.
Lee Darton, Division Manager of Extractability – who has over 20 years of experience in the fume-extraction market – commented that “The current focus by the Health & Safety Executive on the risks and hazards presented by welding fume is leading to widespread investment by the UK fabrication sector in fume-control solutions for workforce protection.”
